Photo taken May 12, 1945 by Charles Brown.  In February 1945 this aircraft was renamed as one of the most famous in the group.  It was subsequently scrapped at Kingman Arizona after flying 83 combat missions.

Photo date unknown, but clearly as a new or nearly new aircraft. After less than a month with the 447th, this aircraft was damaged by flak on the April 13 1944 raid.  It, along with the Thornbury crew (Crew Profile), reached Switzerland, where they were interned.
