42-31188 Dead Man's Hand, A B-17G-5-BO, built at the Boeing Seattle plane and delivered to the USAAF on September 29, 1943, No. 188 joined the 447th at Harvard AAB. It was flown across the Atlantic by Lt. Clarence Perkins of the 709th Squadron. On board for the transit flight were:
